The beauty of First Dates Ireland is that you're never sure who is going to swing through that front door.

We've watched all kinds of people take a blind leap of faith on the popular dating show, but Lorraine O'Connell from Limerick is by far our favourite participant. 

Her brief for a man was simple, he had to be like Johnny Depp in Pirates of the Caribbean mixed with Orlando Bloom in Lord of the Rings, with a hint of Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson.

Seeing as that celebrity cocktail wasn't available, producers paired her up with off-license manager Peter from Clare, and it was madness from the word go.

Not only did she shoot him down straight away by saying, "you are not one bit what I was looking for", she also had a bit of a mishap as she took a slug of red wine. Sure who cares about etiquette these days anyway?

There was a massive reaction to her on social media with everyone loving how she was simply herself.

Speaking on Today FM's Dermot and Dave, the Limerick lady revealed all the glory details from her and P's fateful meeting, and told us all the fun she had watching it at a special screening in her house last night. Lots of vino on the go.

It was the first time she had seen it in full and she was half mortified at it, "Oh my God did I say that?"

As for what happened after the cameras were turned off, "we did have a little shift", she giggled. But that all important "tingle down there" was missing
