Josh Widdecombe is a comedian you may recognise from shows like Mock the Week, QI and Celebrity Mastermind. He will be coming to Ireland later this month with his tour "Bit Much..." which includes nights in Dublin and Belfast.
He spoke to Dermot and Dave from the glamourous surroundings of a broom cupboard in the BBC, which double up as a quiet spot to take the phone call.
They chatted about very the interesting jobs Josh had before he started doing stand-up. When he first moved to London, Josh spent some time writing for Dora the Explorer Magazine, and he also worked as a sports journalist where he unfortunately mixed up scores when reporting on Liverpool and Chelsea getting knocked out the of FA Cup. This all lead Josh to comedy which is (hopefully) the right career for him!
You can see Josh when he brings his "Bit Much..." tour to Ulster Hall in Belfast on 19th October, and Dublin's Olympia Theatre on 20th October.
