Over 690 million people in the world will go to bed tonight with an empty stomach, and the situation is only getting worse as the impact of Covid-19 is felt around the world.

The UN World Food Programme has been feeding millions of people around the world since 1963, and nothing, not even a global pandemic could stop their deliveries.

Kerry Waldron is one of a number of Irish people who work, and have worked, on the programme. Based in Italy, she has travelled to some of the most impoverished areas in the world, delivering much needed nourishment.

Their efforts have recently been rewarded with a Nobel Peace Prize and Kerry joined Dermot and Dave to speak about her work with the UN.
