After weeks of speculation, doubt and u-turns, the Liam Miller Tribute match has been given the green light for Páirc Uí Chaoimh.
The Liam Miller Tribute Organising Committee and the GAA reached a congenial agreement, which will see the memorial played in Cork on Tuesday, September 25th 2018.
On this morning's Dermot and Dave, the lads gave former Irish international Kevin Kilbane a call to chat about his ex-teammate (Liam) and what the game will mean to people.
Kev told us a few of the heroes taking part in the Manchester United vs Celtic/Ireland legends fixture, "we've got some big, big names coming down to play".
Tickets for the original venue at Turner Cross, Galway, sold out in minutes, but extra tickets will go on sale on August 13th, at 10am and as Kilbane says, "now we need to sell it out".
45,000 spectators of a Tuesday afternoon, on the banks of the River Lee, all watching a once-in-a-lifetime game for an incredible cause?? We'll be having some of that!
Tickets starts at €10 for the terrace and work their way up to €90 for premium level.
