It’s a moment of history for golf in Ireland, a moment of history for Irish women, and for Leona Maguire, a moment 17 years in the making.

The Cavan golfer became the first Irish woman to win on the LGPA tour and it follows on the heels of an absolutely incredible 2021 for Leona, and for countless other Irish women in sport.

Speaking to Dermot and Dave, Leona looked back on the long road to her first win, explained the importance of the relationship with her caddy and revealed what’s next.
