But it must be 'focused'

Did you know that on average, a person spends 47% of their waking time daydreaming?

So imagine if we could harness this stream of consciousness to become much more creative?

Well Chris Griffiths, the bestselling author of The Creative Thinking Handbook, knows all about unlocking the mind and helping people excel outside that elusive box.

Chris chats to Baz Ashmawy, who's covering on Dermot and Dave, about how "the most powerful thinking skill we have is using our imagination" and how we can use our daily commute to maximise productivity.

He feels we are "allowing external influences (smartphones, tablets, laptops etc.) to control what you do" during 'free time', whereas we should be focusing on the power of "focus daydreaming".

It's all part of his 'Big Picture Thinking' approach, where he believes we should have "as many dots to join as possible" in order to remove "the box".
