That's exactly where today's anonymous listener finds himself at the minute.

It started with Muireann O'Connell receiving this email today:

Now if you're like me, you'll be thinking 'they'll have to take her for who she is'. It's 2018 after all - an era where we're more open about stuff than ever before surely. But what if it's not that black and white?

He obviously loves her a lot but knows his parents wouldn't be too keen on her boisterousness. So does he ask her to change who she is? or should he man up and let them make the decision for themselves, regardless of their approval or not?

Muireann threw it out to our favourite judging panel, our listeners, and it received a very mixed reaction.

Emer was on the phone line to give us her two cents, and there was hundreds of messages. 

Here are some of the comments:

'Tell him to put the pin back in the grenade on that one'

'Absolutely, that guy should tell his girlfriend to tone it down'

'The real question is why does he have to justify the love of his life to his folks?' 

'If you think your girlfriend should change to accommodate your partner, then really, the issue isn't your girlfriend - it is however your relationship with your parents' 

I'm sticking to my guns on this one, but what do you think? Have you ever been in a similar situation? or what advice would you have for this poor lad.
