Alan Flanagan is a scriptwriter for film, theatre and TV, who has been working on the storylines for Hollyoaks over the past while.

Speaking on Today FM's Dermot and Dave, the Longford native gives some incredible insight into what goes on behind the scenes in Britain's most-loved soap of 2019, on AskMeAnything.

He reveals things like how long it takes to create a script, how much control actors have in what they say, and how the writing "often happens right up to filming" when last minute changes occur.
