Over the weekend misinformation started to spread at a phenomenal rate around Whatsapp, causing more stress and worry for people who are already feeling overwhelmed by measures being taken to try and stop the spread of Covid-19. 

Today FM reporter Sean Defoe joined Dermot & Dave advising people to only trust reputable news sources like journalists and news sites, “We are literally paid to check it out and verify it. Don’t trust information being circulated on Whatsapp, only use reputable news sources and journalists.”

Sean also addressed the 50,000 people who now find themselves out of work following the pub closures around Ireland and updated us all on where we stand today when it comes to Covid-19 in Ireland.
