Team Hope have partnered with Today FM's Weekend Breakfast for this year's annual Christmas Shoebox appeal.
Your Christmas Shoebox gifts are put right into the hands of some of the world’s most vulnerable children – many of whom will receive no other gift this Christmas. For some it’s the first gift they’ve ever received.
Speaking on Dermot and Dave, Weekend Breakfast presenter Alison Curtis outlines how you can help the cause.
Firstly, there are the 4 W's:
1) Wash
2) Write
3) Wear
4) WOW
These are something that a child can wash with, write with/on, wear and a 'WOW' pressie, which is that extra bit special
You place these items into your festively wrapped shoeboxes, pop in €4, and hand it into one of the 400 drop-off points across the country.
Our favourite Canadian (Alison) also describes the impact this has on your own child(ren) if you involve them in the process as "they physically see by putting a box together that they are doing something good and that they're helping".
TeamHope.ie is where you can find more information and all the drop-off locations.
The appeal closes on November 9th so why not make a real difference this Christmas? And with a target of 280,000 every box counts.
We're teaming up with @TeamHopeIreland to support their annual Christmas Shoebox appeal! 🎄
