2019 is looking like a busy one for the men who put culchies on the map, as The 2 Johnnies will embark on their first-ever nationwide tour called 'Get Loose'.

Johnny B (O'Brien) and Johnny Smacks (McMahon) will kick things of in the Raddison Blu Hotel in Sligo town on February 1st and the show sounds exactly as the title suggests.

Speaking on Today FM's Dermot and Dave, the lads chat about their excitement to be hitting off on a new adventure together and cannot wait to perform their debut gig on the hallowed stage at Dublin's Vicar Street.

And being the multi-talented men they are, not only are they content with having four Irish number ones in the iTunes charts, selling out gigs all over the place, dominating the Irish podcast scene and totting up millions of views online, they're now adding the title of 'children's entertainers' to their résumé:

"The kids have kinda got onto the songs, ya know. So the likes of The Coppers Song - you'll have an 8-year-old in Wexford singing that", Johnny laughed. But fear not parents of Ireland, you'll be glad to know, "it's a completely different show".

Dermot and Dave were keen to know how they got into the whole podcast scene, to which they said, "when we started it, we didn't really know how to upload a podcast. So we rang a fella who'd been doing podcasts for years and we were like 'Come here. How do we upload this craic?' and then he told us and we uploaded it and went to number one".

They've obviously found a winning formula with every one of the 38 episodes, including the live podcasts recorded at Dublin's The Sugar Club, reaching No.1 in the Irish charts.

The lads also have a great laugh about the embarrassment of drinking green tea, 'churn rolling' in Killarney and why they love Peter André so much.

Tickets for their shows go on sale @11am tomorrow morning (Friday, November 30th) and are available from ticketmaster.
