It's the best medicine of them all and if you're looking for some laughter then Chez le Fab on Arthur's Quay, Limerick city is the place to be.
They're currently halfway through The Laughter Games competition, and after two heats of predominantly Munster comedians, it's time for the Dublin-based jokesters to light up their stage.
Chatting on Dermot and Dave, owner Leslie Ann Liddane explains how and why her and her partner Shay setup the comedy club, and admitted to it being "self-serving".
They'll be judging the acts on:
- audience reaction
- originality
- stage presence
and time-keeping is also a factor.
Tonight sees the third heat of the competition take place at the Wine Bar & Arts Café, with another guest host lined-up to keep the crowd entertained between acts.
