A new safety campaign called 'Ask For Angela' has been rolled out across the country, and it's purpose is to protect people when they are out and about in Ireland.
The initiative emphasizes on the name 'Angela', where you use the name as a code word to make whoever you are chatting to (barman/waiter/friend/bouncer) aware that you are feeling uncomfortable with a person, or a certain situation.
To find out more, Dermot and Dave gave Eric O'Brien, the Chair of The Purple Flag Working Group, and Michael Murphy, the president of the Waterford I.T Student Union a call to see exactly how useful and important this strategy is.
You can listen to the chat in full by clicking the 'play' button in the image above the headline.
