There’s nothing worse than buying something during your weekly shop only to realise that it’s already gone off by the time you get around to using it.

With the cost of food increasing, and with most people trying to do their bit for the environment, it turns out there are simple things we can all do to make our food last longer.

Tessa Clarke is co-founder of the free community sharing app Olio which helps people offer extra food and other bits to their local community instead of binning it and she joined Dermot and Dave to run though some of her top tips.
