Apart from it being our good lord's birthday, getting loads of pressies, drinking the heads of ourselves and everybody (well most people) being full of festive cheer, Christmas songs are definitely up there when it comes to the best things about Crimbo.
Many artists and bands have tried to break into the Christmas song market, but it's a very elite group. Well it is for the most requested ones anyway.
So each year, amid a few new wannabes, the classics are rolled out to crank up the joy-ometer.
Although it's near impossible to pinpoint exactly how much each Christmas song has made over the years, in 2016, Channel 5 did their best to find an average income for each tune.
Here's what their research uncovered - the royalties they make per annum in the UK:
10. 'Stay Another Day' by East 17 £97,000
9. 'Mistletoe and Wine' by Cliff Richard £100,000
8. '2000 Miles' by The Pretenders £102,000
7. 'Stop the Cavalry' by Jona Lewie £120,000
6. 'Wonderful Christmastime' by Paul McCartney £260,000
5. 'Last Christmas' by Wham! £300,000
4. 'White Christmas' by Bing Crosby £328,000
2. 'All I Want for Christmas is You' by Mariah Carey £400,000
2. 'Fairytale of New York' by The Pogues and Kirsty MacColl £400,000
