I'm not too sure I'd even last a week out on this island!

Back in January, Billy O Connor was in search of someone to work as a caretaker on the Great Blasket Island, located three miles off the coast of Dingle in County Kerry.

After sifting through thousands of applicants, Billy and his wife Alice have chosen the lucky two that will be taking on this very unique role. Covid permitting, Niamh Kelleher and Jack Cakehead will be hoping to head out to the very remote island this summer.

Niamh and Jack joined Dermot and Dave to talk about the upcoming adventure.
