WhatsApp is the most popular mobile messaging app in the world right now and us Irish love it to bits. 

It's got the works - voice messaging, GIFs, tons of emojis etc., but it also has another feature which you may not be aware of.

Did you know that you can actually check the amount of messages you and your friends have sent each other? You can also see how many photos, GIFs, videos and audio messages there has been between you all. 

Chatting this morning, Jennifer from the Dermot and Dave team, revealed the hack after she stumbled across it on her phone. And seeing as today is her and her boyfriend's 1 year anniversary, she could tell us exactly how many messages they have exchanged in 365 days. 

And that number is.....over 70,000. SEVENTY THOUSAND.

That's a lot of typing.

Here's how you do it:

iPhone - open Whatsapp > Settings > Data and Storage Usage > Storage Usage > A number appears next to each contact that represents the total number of messages sent back and forth, click into that number and it will break out your conversation into total number of messages, videos and images sent to that person.

Android -open Whatsapp > Settings >Network Usage (for total amount) > Storage Usage (for individual info) Just tap on the name and hey presto.
