Bono and the boys have been rocking it out since 1980, electrifying stadiums across the world and forming an incredible bond between their fans globally.
Last year, David Barry set out to raise enough funds on Kickstarter to create a documentary dedicated to the journey the band have made through the eyes of the people who have constantly backed them.
On this morning's show, Dermot and Dave caught up with David who ended up directing the feature length movie U2:Dream Out Loud.
They chatted about how he discovered U2, why they are loved so passionately and loyally by their fans and what else is in store for his work.
It will be screened on the 5th of May at 6:30pm, in The Irish Film Institute, Dublin.
