Back in 2014, Nella auditioned for The Voice Of Ireland and thought all her Christmases had come at once when her childhood hero, Dolores O'Riordan not only turned her chair around, but became her coach.

She describes the experience as "an absolute privilege" that she will "always be grateful for".

When Nella spoke to Dermot & Dave this morning, she told us that the advice Dolores gave her influenced her career path from then on. She told her:

"You have your own unique style which is not always something that people comprehend- until you keep at it and keep at it and you carve out your own niche in the world- and you do have something, really beautiful."

And that's exactly what Nella did - she now works with some of the biggest songwriters and composers in the world, working on her own music as well as music for movies and games such as a World Of Warcraft.
