The festival season is nearly upon us *rejoice* and with the headline acts for the big ones (namely Electric Picnic and Longitude) getting a mixed reaction, we asked a couple of experts for their opinions. 

Today FM's Louise Duffy (presenter of Lost in Music, 7-9pm weekdays) and music guru Niall Byrne (that's Nialler9 to most of us) joined Joe Donnelly in studio this morning to analyse the acts, and give us some insight into the new-age scene. 

If you don't know your Diplo from your Dua Lipa, then they also suggested a few more festivals which offer a bit of everything for everyone. 

Longitude hits Marlay Park from the 13th-15th of July, and the forests of Stradbally will be alive with Electric Picnic from the 31st of August to 2nd of September.
