It’s something that we often joke about but with many of our lives now documented online, there is the additional question of ‘what happens to my social media account if I die?’.

Not only is there the question of what happens with things like photos, comments and messages but also, the additional upset of family members being reminded of things like birthdays.

Speaking to Dermot and Dave, Carrie Budds from Quokka Wellness detailed some of the different ways social media accounts are managing our digital legacies.

Carrie also explained how there have been some instances of social media accounts being used for trolling and even for identity theft.
