It's hard to believe, but a couple of our pollinators species (bees & wasps) no longer exist. 

The 'All-Ireland Pollinator Plan' has been in place since 2015. It was devised to help protect the decreasing populations in our natural landscapes, which in turn could help save the planet. 

Juanita Browne is the project officer of the scheme, so we asked her to chat to us on Dermot and Dave this morning. 

She revealed how important dandelions are to the ecosystem, and the consequences we face if the bees and wasps are not looked after.
