Being a proud Mayo man, I know what it's like to have a fairly thick country accent. But luckily for us, ours is considered neutral enough.
When it comes to Corkonians - well you know what theirs is like. The more southern Munster accents can be quite hard to decipher - especially when you're in a different country.
Cork funnyman Chris Kent has been living in London the past while and his intonation causes confusion on a regular basis.
Speaking on Dermot and Dave, the comedian tells us of the time he was offered 'carrots' when he tried to pay for something by 'card', and then there was the time he got a cab, "I was having a great time with this Indian taxi man until he asked me if I moved here to learn English".
He also has a laugh about the creepy parent loitering about his son's playgroup (who's kid doesn't even go there any more), tells us what he thinks the effects of Brexit will be on comedy and impresses the lads with his super-sized bowl of porridge.
Great fun with @DaveTodayFM & @DermotTodayFM excuse the bloated face but the porridge nearly killed me. pic.twitter.com/0QrlHCChJw
