Dublin teacher Dermot Finn gave his students something to talk about when he switched up his usual commute this week.
The secondary school teacher has been trying to lessen his impact on the environment by leaving the car at home and taking alternative transport.
However, not many people would be brave enough to take the sea route to work!
Mairead chatted to Dermot on today's show about his unique choice of commute.

On Monday morning, Dermot grabbed his sea kayak and got in to the water near Killiney. After almost an hour, he arrived in Bray and made his way to his classroom.
He got a few funny looks from his students, and when one asked him had he come in his kayak he simply replied "Well how did you get here?"
Of the commute itself, Dermot said it was a lovely calm morning and he got to take in the sunrise.
"I'll definitely do it again!"
However, he has almost 10 year experience with sea-kayaking and wouldn't recommend it to the inexperienced.
