She's one of Ireland's most prolific actress, you'll know her from The Stranger or as far back as the 90's when she played Assumpta on Ballykissangel - Dervla Kirwan joined Mairead for a chat about her latest TV series.

Speaking about her role as Corrine in Netflix's The Stranger, Dervla told Mairead how playing characters that are so different to herself allow her to explore a different perspective and understand why people do the terrible things they do.

Dervla's newest series is Smother which starts this Sunday. They began filming in February 2020 and ended up having to take a 7 month break because of the pandemic.

She was thrilled they managed to get it finished, despite having her nasal cavities assaulted on a regular basis to make sure everyone was Covid free!
