Making new friends can be very difficult, and especially challenging if you lead a busy life.

A lonely listener wrote a personal letter to Mairead, asking for advice, as she has "never felt so alone" and has no one in her life to meet for a coffee or a drink.

In response, Mairead spoke to Social Prescribing Co-ordinator Nicola Spendlove, about the free service available nationwide that help adults expand their social network.
