As frontline staff in care homes and hospitals across the country prepare for what is to come, they will barely have five minutes to themselves, let alone prepare and cook meals at home.
Cian O'Flaherty has come up with a genius idea to keep them fed for free with a new initiative called Feed the Heroes, and he joined Mairead on the line today to tell her all about it.
Inspired by a tweet he saw of someone sending a delivery of food for hospital staff, Cian decided to set up a Go Fund Me page which the public can donate to to buy meals for our frontline staff. In just 3 days, he has raised €190,000!
