Shivaun and Ronan from Limerick have been putting off getting married for years.
Although together for 13 years, the time has never been right or something else has cropped up.
However, recently the couple came to the realisation that they'd like to get married while their parents are still around to be there.
Shivaun spoke to Mairead on today's show to tell her how, back in June, they decided to plan a wedding in secret.
Taking advantage of the current COVID-19 wedding restrictions, they married in September alongside 28 of their immediate family.
Guests only received invites three weeks before the big day but were asked to keep it a secret.
Shivaun and Ronan even managed to surprise their 10-year-old twin daughters with the news the morning of the wedding!
The couple had their wedding in a small church at the top of their road. The local priest stepped in to do the ceremony.
The rest of their family and friends only found out about their wedding the day after. However, EVERYONE was so happy for them!
All of the guests had a wonderful day and said it was really special.
For couples forced to make changes to their original wedding plans Shivaun had this to say:
"I just want to assure any couples struggling with wedding numbers etc, I advise ye to go with your heart, we had such a perfect, happy day”
