What makes a person want to paddle out into the Atlantic Ocean in the dead of winter and attempt to ride a 60 foot wall of water coming at you with the force of a thousand elephants?
Donegal surfer Conor Maguire does it on the regular and it's got him some incredible accolades too. He spoke to Mairead about how it feels to be nominated for awards alongside his heroes.
Conor has picked up 3 nominations in this year's Red Bull Big Wave Awards, and he told Mairead about the preparation and safety measures that lead to him successfully surfing a 60-foot wave.
