Mairead's producer Pamela Blake is working from home at the moment and they only get to see each other over video chats each day, but Pamela joined Mairead on the show to tell her about her plans to take part in Asthma Awareness Week.

Pamela has asthma, which is part of the reason she has been working from home, and she's really happy to be taking part in the Love Your Lungs challenge with the Asthma Society of Ireland.

They're asking people to sign up for the virtual challenge and stroll, stretch or stride their way to a collective 10 million steps over the course of the week.

Ireland is particularly affected by asthma - 1 in every 13 people currently have the condition which is one of the highest rates in Europe. Whether you're taking part or not, every donation helps.

WEEK 2:

The Love Your Lungs Challenge is underway, and Pam's FitBit hasn't seen this much action in months!

Even with the terrible weather over the weekend, Pam got her rain gear out and got her steps in. While the cold and wet weather isn't an asthma sufferer's friend, the more exercise and fresh air you can get, the better for your lungs.

You can still sign up to take part or donate - entry is €15 via asthma.ie.
