Muireann got an email from a concerned Dad who has heard about rumours regards his daughter and is really worried about what to do now.

It is a horrible situation for any parent. His wife wants to approach parents and is livid. 

Life is tough enough these days for adults but for teens and kids it is really hard.

What do you do in a situation like this:

Hi Muireann,

It has just come to my attention that my 12-year-old daughter is being made out to be the local bike and my wife has come across this on my daughter's social Media. She wants to approach parents and their sons as she is livid and understandably upset. My approach to this would be to sit down talk and find out more info rather than making trouble straight away.

I'm clueless as how to approach this though?! No matter what happens I don't think it's going to be a good outcome. I have not yet seen exactly what was written, but I want to be able to handle it properly.
