Hi guys, me and my wife went to my cousin’s wedding recently.

We got a babysitter for the two kids, booked a room in the wedding hotel and drove a couple of hours to get there.

Everything was great until the band finished at half 11. We were expecting a DJ to come on after them but as the band finished, they announced the bar was closing too and wished us all a goodnight.

That was that. The whole night was over. At half 11. A few of the other guests were as confused as we were and checked with the bridesmaid but she confirmed it.

Is this normal? I’ve never been to a wedding that’s finished so early and we felt shortchanged after all the arrangements we’d made. Tell Me I’m Wrong…
