As Ireland's first support line for families of transgender people goes live, we spoke to one mother who has been through the experience of her child transitioning.

Kirsty Donohue's 16-year-old son Dylan was born a girl, but told her three years ago that he felt he was a boy.

Kirsty spoke to us about Dylan's journey and how he and the family have coped.

She says of coming to terms with the change: "I thought I'd lost my child, but I hadn't - the packaging had just changed."
