Figures from EU studies suggest that women are half as likely as men to own their own business.

While the number of women setting up their own businesses in Ireland has grown in recent years, women are still under represented in entrepreneurship activities.

Helen Fullen, Pre Accelerator Leader at the NDRC joined Conall on this week's Sunday Business Show to discuss this very fact.

The organisation also carried out their own study to investigate the extent, value and impact of peer support amongst participants of entrepreneurship programmes.

To find out more about their study, listen back to the podcast or check it out for yourself via the following link: https://issuu.com/helenfullen/docs/_the_value_of_peer_support_in_femal

Helen will also be one of the speakers at the Ladies Who Launch event taking place at the Mansion House in Dublin on June 12th.
