"Good girl, Sharon"
It's one of the greatest Irish movies ever, and no matter how many times you see it advertised on TV, you set a reminder to make sure you don't miss it.
The question is, 'Have you ever read the novel?'.
From this Thursday (June 14th) to the middle of September, The Snapper will run in the Gate Theatre, which just so happens to be next door to the Rotunda hospital, where 'the snapper' was born.
The production is a beautiful blend of the 1993 movie and Roddy Doyle's original best-selling novel.
Simon Delaney has been drafted in to play the part of Jimmy Rabbitte (Colm Meaney in the movie), and Hilda Fay's (who you'll know as Tracy from Fair City) talents have been honed to play Veronica Rabbitte (Ruth McCabe in the movie).
We were delighted to welcome both Simon and Hilda into studio this morning to tell us all about the play and how it will set a record for the most amount of "f***s" in the Gate's 90 year history.
They also praised the other actors involved, with Hazel Clifford playing a blinder.
