After a 21 year absence, 'Féile' is BACK!!
"What's 'Féile'?", I hear you ask. It was the original Witness/Oxegen festival which ran from 1990 to 1997.
They were simpler times, where the crowd actually watched the performers through their eyes - not their phones. And there wasn't a selfie stick in sight. Here's a taste of what it was like...
It's one of Ireland's most iconic festivals and for 2018 it has been reinvented with the new name Féile Classical.
The Féile Classical will take place on September 22nd for one night only, from it's original Mecca, Semple Stadium, Co. Tipperary (hence the name 'The Trip To Tipp').
The revitalised gig will feature The Stunning, Hothouse Flowers, An Emotional Fish, Something Happens, The 4 of Us, The Frank & Walters, with more special guests to be announced.
All acts will be performing with the amazing Irish Chamber Orchestra, for that extra bit of oomph.
Tom Dunne is curator and host of Féile Classical, and this morning he chatted to Iano all about what is sure to be one of the highlights of the year.
Listeners were loving the news...

That line-up is SAVAGE! I won't be back in the country then, but if a 15 (and a half) year old can't go solo, I'll need to find which one of her aunts might go. Much obliged for the link.

You’ve already lured my wife and her coven of school friends, all jotted in for glamping...
