It's not every day one gets to chat to a BAFTA, Golden Globe and potential Oscar winning actress, but on this morning's show Ian did just that.

The hottest 'Best Supporting Actress' in the world right now was on the phone line to give us a bit more insight into the film, and the eccentric character she plays in the biographical black comedy, 'I. Tonya'. A character she says is, "the most interesting I've ever played"

The movie follows the life of disgraced figure skater Tonya Harding after she is connected to an attack on her rival Nancy Kerrigan in 1994. Allison's transformation into the role of LaVona Golden (Tonya's intensely driven mother) is phenomenal, hence warranting all the accolades.

The actress revealed how she came to getting the part and also offered her personal opinion on the type of woman LaVona was. She had to go deep into her psyche to portray the realness of her disposition.

It wasn't all plain sailing in Allison's career though, as she only got her break a bit later in life. You will recognise her from various roles, but it's her stint as CJ Cregg in The West Wing which is most likely the one you are familiar with.

The Oscars has been her life long dream, so she tells of her honour and excitement at walking the red carpet on March 4th. Iano even gave her some help with a speech (if she needs it).

We've everything crossed for you Allison. You'll be a very worthy winner!!

'I, Tonya' is out across cinemas nationwide from tomorrow (Friday, Feb 23rd).
