With Mario Rosenstock's new show In Your Face having kicked off in Cork last night, The Ian Dempsey Breakfast Show is coming to you live from Fota Island all week.

This morning, we asked the King of Tralee in for a long overdue chat about what's going on in his world. 

Dáithí was delighted to learn that his character has made the cut in Mario's latest work, but reckons the comedian has a lot to answer for. 

He also praised his work colleague and buddy Máire Derrane, and told us why the Rose of Tralee means so much to him.

And being the professional he is, he even closed out the show with his version of '5 Things You Need To Know'.
