Time flies when you're having fun, so we must be having an absolute blast as it's been nearly ten years since Pádraig Judas O'Leprosy and Rodraig Spartacus O'Leprosy (to give them their full titles) lit up our TV screens.
Well let the good times roll some more as tonight, the googly-eyed gobsheens make their long-awaited return to RTÉ alongside their new co-host-with-the-most, comedian Doireann Garrihy.
We've missed how they subject celebrities to their unique interrogation style and their shoot from the hip spirit, but with it being 2018 Doireann reckons she'll have to reel them in by admitting, "there's lots of stuff they said back in the day they couldn't get away with now".
Here's a taste of what she's talking about *WARNING - sexual innuendos ensue*:
Tonight's episode features Erin McGregor from Dancing With The Stars, Josh ‘JP’ Patterson of Made in Chelsea fame, and there’ll be music from Le Galaxie. According to host, "we've Love Islanders" in the coming weeks too. Plenty of 'mugging' ahead so!
Seeing as it was recorded last night, Doireann had some inside info for us and laughed as she said JP was the "perfect UK guest" - he hadn't a clue about half the stuff they were on about.
Doireann also chats about how she got the role and Iano reveals a scarily accurate prediction the puppets made about themselves and Westlife during their show ten years ago. Spooky!
The first of ten episodes of The Podge and Rodge Show airs on RTÉ 2 at 10:40pm tonight and we cannot wait for the madness.
Expect a lot of 'fecks'.
