After receiving an official pardon from the American Embassy for Thanksgiving back in November, Ireland's favourite bird is now looking for a presidential pardon for the Christmas period - and he needs YOUR help.

Having heard that Dustin was getting a bit flighty outside Áras an Uachtarán, we gave the leader of the Poultry Party a call to see what going on.

As usual, he was up to no good and shouting profanities. He's encouraging people to join him via twitter by tweeting @PresidentIRL and by using the hashtag #PardonTheTurkey 

We totally get where he's coming from, but Ian had an inkling that maybe he was causing all this commotion as a way of giving his new book 'Wikibeaks' a final plug before Christmas. Maybe he hopes it will be the push people need to gobble it down.
