Off the back of the Government's new Our Public Library 2022 strategy, where libraries nationwide have wavered all fines on overdue items, Bertie Ahern has a couple of confessions to admit to.
Speaking on Gift Grub, the former Taoiseach reveals how he has books from his local library for a couple of decades now, and one from over 50 years ago.
He's using their new "clean slate" approach as a way for people to perhaps excuse any wrongdoings he (or anyone) has been guilty of in the past.
After all, it's just like he says, "everybody makes mistakes".
You're some chancer Bertie!
