Fine Gael senator Catherine Noone got herself in some hot water this week.
While out canvassing, she made comments about Taoiseach Leo Varadker, describing him as "autistic".
Ms Noone has since apologised and withdrawn her remarks, but Fine Gael has refused her request to explain herself in a public interview.
However, it seems things may be on the mend as Ms. Noone has been allowed join Leo on his hustings, under the watchful eye of Paschal Donohoe.
