According to experts (whoever they are), you should be hitting 10,000 steps each day! But is this merely a myth?
The whole '10,000-steps-a-day' malarkey has become a huge target over the past couple of years but did you know it actually originated back in the 1960's as a marketing campaign in Japan?
In the run-up to the 1964 Tokyo Olympics, a company came up with a device which they started marketing to the health-conscious. It was called a Manpo-Kei. In Japanese, "man" means 10,000, "po" means steps and "kei" means meter. So it was, literally, a 10,000 steps meter.
The pedometer has evolved a lot since then and in a world of Fitbits, step counter apps and technology that is becoming increasingly Smarter - we wanted to find The Breakfast Show's Most Active Listener.
To make it fair we were only looking for step counts from yesterday. We felt this would give us a good average.
Our own Shauna O'Reilly kicked things off with her steady 2,657 steps but she didn't remain on the leader board for long. The screengrabs came flying in:
