33 years ago, long before WhatApp, before email, before Facebook and text messages, there was the humble fax machine.

But for this story we have to travel even further back than the fax machine to tell you all about the Telex Adam Clayton sent Ian Dempsey after a show.

Back in 1987, Adam made Ian's year when he sent this Telex and Ian got to make it a real full circle moment when he read it out to the U2 star this week.

Adam also revealed who would play him in a movie and chatted about Bono's autobiography when he joined The Ian Dempsey Breakfast Show for a chat.
