Imelda May is back in town ahead of her Trinity College Park performance on July 29th and she cannot wait for it.

We were delighted to welcome the singer into studio this morning for a long overdue catch-up.

Seeing as it was her birthday yesterday, Iano asked her what she got up to for it. She had an hilarious story about Howth, family, a chipper and seagulls.

They chatted about 'Feis Liverpool 2018' Irish music festival over on Liverpool pier last week. She said there was, "a phenomenal amount of musicians" with the likes of Sharon Shannon, Mundy, Hudson Taylor and Van Morrison all on the bill.

Imelda also told us why she has lots of love for music promoter Vince Power (organiser of the Feis Liverpool).

Ian asked her for her thoughts on England's World Cup chances tonight, tried to squeeze out some info on a possible album and discussed a book she recently finished. 'Grief is the Thing With Feathers' sounds like quite the read!

We can't wait to hear her back singing in the capital. It'll be Mayhem.
