It's always the simple ideas!
The Prarmchair ðŸ‘
— Barry Browne™ (@babsbrowne) June 26, 2018
Every Monday on The Ian Dempsey Breakfast Show we ask our lovely listeners for their 'Weekend Headlines' and on yesterday's show, Mairead Quirke from Limerick sent us in hers. It's not your average message;
"Enjoyed sunning myself in this custom made 'Mobile sun armchair'. My mammy's idea, my daddy's handiwork! Wheel it in the sun, wheel it in the shade! Just need to make sure the leather part is covered, would burn the behind off ya"
Now this isn't the epitome of laziness, it's actually for Mairead's 94-year-old grand-aunt who wanted to catch a few rays in comfort.
Mairead Quirke from Limerick has taken an old leather chair & the wheels of an old pram & made a chair on wheels so her elderly aunt can enjoy the sun. Genius! pic.twitter.com/V9lmkwWce1

We think it's an ingenious invention for people of all ages and there's even room for a few more upgrades according to our listeners:
Where can I get one? I think I might make a bed version

All it needs is a wee engine and you can follow the sun. Or drive to the shops.

Imagine a 'prarmchair' in every home in Ireland lads? Now that's Utopia!
Iano gave Mairead a call this morning to find out all about this marvel in engineering.
