Today FM want YOU to BE A DANCER FOR CANCER!

On the 30th of April, we’re asking you to stop what you’re doing, join us for one moment, one dance, no experience required - no matter where you are in the world! Dance your heart out for your loved ones, for those who have experienced cancer and for those who need your help the most.

Be Like Cathy

After hearing Ian Dempsey talk about the campaign last week, Cathy Kelly in Tipperary is organising her own event 'Quick Steppin Ceili With A Twist' on the evening of April 27th:

Speaking on The Ian Dempsey Breakfast Show, Cathy tells us why these funds are so important:

My dad passed away, actually it was two years ago the 24th of April, from cancer and my mum won her battle with cancer - so I've seen both sides of it

The home team I suppose was something that drew me to raise money for the Cancer Society, to see that it gave back to the local families when they need it most

Cathy and her mum Mary

Whether it's a quick-steppin-ceili, school dance party, office floss-off or a shape-cutting spin class, by joining the fun and holding your own event, you can raise much needed funds for cancer research and support services. So get as many people together as you can, set up your fundraising page and get ready to your shake your booty!

And if April 30th doesn't suit - then do it whenever you can. It's all about raising money and awareness.

Register your event online now by visiting todayfm.com/daretocare
