Getting a Michelin star within six months of opening your restaurant is no mean feat.
Rob Krawczyk did just that last night when he picked up the accolade in London.
Restaurant Chestnut in Ballydehob was one of three Cork restaurants to receive Michelin stars yesterday. The others were Ichigo Ichie, a Japanese restaurant in the city centre and Mews in Baltimore.
Rob, originally from West Cork, did up and old pub and opened the doors of Restaurant Chestnut in April of this year.
He joined Ian this morning to talk about what inspires him in his cooking:
"I just cook from my heart really" says Rob. "Lots of people inspired me chef-wise but nature is a huge thing for me".
"The produce (in Cork) has always been there .. it makes it really easy for us".Â
