At the start of December, The Ian Dempsey Breakfast Show gave its These Three Words competition a sprinkle of Elf dust and transformed it into These Three Ho-Ho-Hos. A bit more festive, right?

The mechanic was simple; three celebrities laughing (or 'ho-ing' as we call it) and all you had to do is tell us who each of those 'hos' belonged to.

The middle laugh, that being of porridge-loving broadcaster Ray D'Arcy, was first to go, with rap Queen Nicki Minaj (the first 'Ho') being guessed soon after.

With two down it meant there was only one remaining. And he was proving a little tricky. So we gave out a couple of clues:

- He's American

- He's an actor

It HAD to go Christmas eve so we added these on the morning:

- He's an Oscar-nominated actor

- It would be a Mad World for someone not to guess this actor before the end of the show.

The Donnie Darko reference sealed the deal and the phone line was hoppin'!

Aoibhe in Waterford was the first to make it through and she didn't take any Prisoners

Jake Gyllenhaal was the man and thanks to his chuckle, Christmas came a day early for the Coggins household, in the form of an €850 pressie.

Aoibhe will never watch a Jake Gyllenhaal movie in the same way again.

Our regular These Three Words is back in January and we're hoping the three mystery voices we pick this time will make it past the €4,000 mark. We dare ya to get it right! *smug chuckle

Check out Aoibhe's winning call by pressing the play button in the image at the top of the page.
