Danny Boyle beware!
There's no doubt it's the best movie trailer to come out of Donegal, but after becoming viral over the past couple of days, it might just be one of the best trailers the country has ever seen!
And it's all thanks to two local lads, Shaun Doogan and Ciaran McCann of Re-Act Productions.
Have a look at the masterpiece they created for the Dungloe Community Network:
Chatting on The Ian Dempsey Breakfast Show, Shaun told us all about the concept and their small production business that is only a year and a half old.
They were approached by the Dungloe Community Network to shoot and produce the video for the Bank of Ireland National Enterprise Town Awards. If they win, they get a €33,000 grant for local businesses. So the came up with a movie plot for their #DestinationDungloe Campaign.
They pitched the idea at a community meeting and after some initial hesitation, the locals were on board. "We wanted to stand out", and that ye certainly did Shaun.
It's hard to believe they have no media background, that nobody in the video has ever acted before and that they had zero budget, "the only expense was the catsuit which is like €30", Shaun laughed.
They got a mix of the locals from Mams at the GAA pitch to coffee shop workers, schoolkids and even the local car dealer. A big round of applause to main actress Caroline O'Donnell who is the reigning Mary of Dungloe, she plays a blinder!
Mark Sharkey, who plays the Big Villain, was heard talking at the community meeting and Shaun immediately went ‘Bingo!’
